It looks like Netherlands can finally forget the chances of selecting Sofyan Amrabat with the Feyenoord midfielder selected in Morocco’s squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifier with Ivory Coast.

The KNVB have been trying to convince Amrabat to choose Netherlands, but earlier this month the head of the Moroccan FA confirmed that the 20-year-old had chosen the African nation.

Now it seems Amrabat’s international future will be certain with Morocco selecting the Feyenoord star in their final selection for their upcoming World Cup play-off with Ivory Coast. If Amrabat accepts the invitation and plays in the game then his bind to Morocco will be permanent.

Morocco face Ivory Coast on the 11th of October.
