The 20-year-old confirmed that Ajax also showed an interest in him but he wanted to sign for Feyenoord.
Amrabat said, “I am delighted to sign for a club like Feyenoord. It’s a reward for a good season. I am very proud.
“I did not become restless as regards to whether the transfer would go through or not but it does play on your mind. I am pleased that all parties came to an agreement. FC Utrecht, Feyenoord and myself.
“Ajax also showed an interest in signing me but I wanted to go to Feyenoord from day one and I did not want to go to Ajax. If you look at the bigger picture Feyenoord are a fantastic club, the fans, backroom staff and the current team they have is great.
“I believe that I will be able to continue my development here at Feyenoord and also the chance to play in the Champions League. I am really looking forward to it.
“I can’t wait to play in a great stadium and at a high level. I played here with FC Utrecht and it was a great experience. I can’t wait to get started “
