The transfer has been on the cards for weeks and finally on Wednesday, Anderlecht confirmed he had joined Vincent Kompany’s squad.
Anderlecht director Michael Verschueren told the club’s website, “With Philippe Sandler we bring a talented young player to RSC Anderlecht. He is hired from Manchester City and is therefore familiar with the system with which Vincent Kompany also wants to play at RSC Anderlecht this season.”
Sandler joined Manchester City from PEC Zwolle last year but wasn’t in their plans for the upcoming campaign. In Belgium he chooses the number 34 as a tribute to his friend Abdelhak Nouri.
