RKC Waalwijk has announced that Vurnon Anita is training with the club with the possibility of a contract.

RKC currently has Gregory van der Wiel training with the club in hope of signing the former Ajax and PSG right-back. Former Fulham midfielder Chris David is also training in Waalwijk.

On Wednesday, RKC also announced that Anita had arrived at the club and will have a trial ahead of a possible deal.

The former Ajax, Newcastle United, and Willem II midfielder/full-back joined CSKA Sofia in February but left the Bulgarian side after only three appearances due to the coronavirus situation.

The 31-year-old said on the RKC website,”In any case, I want to play football again. Whether in the Netherlands or elsewhere, I am open to everything.”
