PSV Eindhoven are set to be without Maximiliano Romero for an extended period of time after he suffered another injury setback with the U23 side.

PSV fans have barely seen the Argentinian forward in action with Romero suffering several injury setbacks since his €10 million move from Vélez Sarsfield just over a year ago.

Romero returned to action for Jong PSV against Helmond Sport on Friday but suffered another injury. The severity is not yet known, but the striker is set to be out for weeks.

Romero has only played nine minutes of Eredivisie action so far this season.
