A move away from Netherlands was always on the cards this summer and finally, on Wednesday, Seria A newcomers, Benevento confirmed the signing of the 27-year-old on a three-year deal.

Armenteros started his career with Heerenveen before spells with Heracles, Anderlecht, Feyenoord, Willem II, and Qarabağ. He returned to Heracles last summer but leaves after only one season.
