Arsenal have opened talks with Eredivisie club AZ Alkmaar about the signing of 16-year-old keeper Jasper Schendelaar according to Tuttomercato web.

The keeper has yet to make a first-team appearance for the club but his performances in the AZ youth sides has reportedly turned heads around Europe.
Arsenal have stolen a march on their rivals, according to Tuttomercato web, and have opened talks with AZ. The Premier League giants are confident a deal can be completed in January.
This summer the keeper progressed from the club’s under-19s to the reserve side is contracted in Alkmaar until 2019. Schendelaar has four caps for the Dutch under-17 side and would be one for the future if he seals his move to North London.
