VVV and Arsenal are currently in talks over a loan deal for the 19-year-old and an agreement is expected to be reached within the next few days.

Zelalem was reportedly high on Borussia Dortmund’s wish list this month, but now appears to be heading for the Netherlands in search of regular first team football.

The United States youth international, who was born in Germany, has made four appearances for the Arsenal first team and spent part of last season on loan with Scottish side Rangers.
