According to the Daily Mail, Ajax’s Marc Overmars is a leading candidate to be named director of football at Arsenal.

The Premier League giants are reportedly considering appointing their first ever director of football amid much speculation over the future of manager Arsene Wenger.

According to the Daily Mail, Marc Overmars, who is currently director of football at Ajax, is one of the candidates being considered by Arsenal’s board.

Overmars spent three years with Ajax as a player under Wenger and helped the club win the double in 1998. He has been director of football at Ajax since 2012.
