AZ Alkmaar moved into the top four with a 2-0 win over Willem II in the AFAS Stadion.

The home side made the brighter start and after only 18 minutes Alireza Jahanbakhsh fired them in front with an excellent finish. The ball fell to the Iranian on the edge of the box after a persistent run from Dabney Dos Santos and he volleyed powerfully into the roof of the net.
Willem II came into the game as the first half progressed and Erik Falkenburg was unlucky to see his effort come back off the post as they threatened an equaliser.
The second half saw AZ control the game and eventually in the last minute they sealed the victory through Levi Garcia. AZ now move onto 10 points, which puts them level with ADO Den Haag in third while Willem II are 13th.
