AZ GUDThe home side controlled possession from the start but it took them until the 42nd minute to open the scoring, with Nemanja Gudelj smartly finishing into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

ADO Den Haag had the chance to equalise before the break, but Mike van Duinen’s shot was easily saved by Esteban after a cut back.

It was 2-0 to AZ on 65 minutes with Johann Gudmundsson brilliantly firing a 30 yard strike into the top corner past a helpless Coutinho in the ADO Den Haag goal.

Michiel Kramer had a good chance to pull a goal back for ADO Den Haag, but his header from a corner was well saved by Esteban. Danny Holla also fired over the bar after the away side were awarded a dangerous free-kick just outside the box.

Aron Johannsson missed a good chance to make it 3-0, but it didn’t matter as AZ closed out the win, and with Twente failing to win, the three points puts them top. ADO Den Haag remain in the bottom three after failing to build on their win over Twente last week.
