jahanbakTwenty-one-year old Jahanbakhsh arrives in Alkmaar from NEC Nijmegen on a five-year deal after an undisclosed fee was verbally agreed on Monday. The Iranian winger is a replacement for Steven Berghuis who joined English side Watford.

Jahanbakhsh was named Eerste Divisie player of the season after guiding NEC to promotion last year with 12 goals and 17 assists in 28 league matches. He told the official AZ website after signing “From all the offers I’ve had, I have chosen quite deliberately AZ. AZ is a big club in the Netherlands.”

AZ have also completed the singing of Serbian left back Rajko Brezancic on a three year deal from Cukaricki. The 27-year-old is added to the squad as a replacement for Simon Poulsen, who left for PSV Eindhoven.

After coming through the Partizan Belgrade academy, Brezancic had spells with Metalac Gornji Milanovac and Bežanija before joining Cukaricki two years ago.

Jahanbakhsh could make his debut on Thursday in the Europa League, but Brezancic is cup tied.
