Earlier in the month it was announced that Martens would join PAOK at the end of the season after his contract at AZ Alkmaar expires.
However the Greek side decided to make the move permanent this January, and although AZ rejected their first offer, after days of negotiations the two clubs have come to an agreement. The fee for the deal is not yet known.
The 29-year-old Belgian has been with AZ since joining from RKC in 2006, and has made over 160 league appearances for the club, scoring 34 times.
In his time at the club, Martens has won both the Eredivisie, and the KNVB Cup, although he missed the cup final due to injury.
Martens now joins up with Dutch coach Huub Stevens, and their recent signing Hedwiges Maduro in Greece.
