According to De Telegraaf, there is interest from England for AZ Alkmaar captain Teun Koopmeiners.

Last week, the Telegraph in England reported that Leeds United were showing keen interest in the AZ midfielder.

Now, De Telegraaf has added Fulham’s name as another interested party, and also claims an unnamed club from France have had a big offer turned down.

Speaking to De Telegraaf, Koopmeiners stated he would leave AZ if the right club appears, “For me it is clear that I have the ambition to make a step abroad. But I must have a good feeling at that club, it must all fit into the picture.”

Specifically on the interest from England, Koopmeiners added, “Of course it is nice, because I would like to make that step. It would be more annoying if a foreign club never comes for me. But there has to be a lot right. If I already have a good feeling about a club, the clubs should also need to agree a deal. “

Koopmeiners agent Karel Jansen would not confirm which clubs want his client but said, “The interest in Teun from England is abundantly clear.”

The 22-year-old has a contract with AZ until 2023.
