AZ Alkmaar will face Czech side Viktoria Plzen in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

AZ Alkmaar were hoping to be awarded the first place in the Eredivisie and the automatic Champions League group stage spot after they finished level on points with Ajax. However, they have had to settle for second and a place in the qualifying round.
The draw took place on Monday and AZ were handed the task of facing Viktoria Plzen.
The match will take place on the 25th or 26th of August in Alkmaar. The winner heads into the third qualifying round and the loser drops into the Europa League.
