According to Voetbal International, AZ Alkmaar have informed Mohamed Taabouni that he will be part of the club’s first-team permanently from next season.

The 18-year-old trained along with the first-team last season and made his debut, but spent most of his time in the Jong AZ squad.

However, AZ are impressed with Taabouni and he will become a permanent member of Arne Slot’s squad next season.

The attacking midfielder, who can also play on the wing, was part of the Netherlands U17 side that won the European Championships last summer, and then finished fourth at the World Cup.

Taabouni has a contract with AZ until 2022.
