According to AD, AZ rejected Tottenham’s first bid two weeks ago, but the Premier League side are expected to return with an improved offer to fend off interest from Wolfsburg. AZ are resigned to losing their top scorer this summer.
The 21-year-old is said to prefer a move to Tottenham over Wolfsburg, due to the London clubs participation in the Champions League next season and is not afraid of competing with English striker Harry Kane.
Janssen was the Eredivisie top scorer last season with 27 goals in 34 league games.

I think VINCENT JANSSEN would fit in nicely with MR KANE, and with a few more signings, we could win the league.

It would makes sense that Spurs are looking as VJ as back up to Kane. They’ll be playing a lot next season and Kane can’t play them all.
Not sure that’s the best for Jannsen. Although he could do worse than learn the ropes of the EPL with Pochettino.
We had better get a move on as more clubs might come in for him in the summer, like arsenal for example. Jamie Vardy has rejected them so Janssen might be on their radar now.
