The 42 time former Dutch international dissolved his contract with Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates earlier this month and spoke to NOS about his nomadic career whilst recently training with Jong Ajax.
He said, ” I was offered a unique chance to sign for Liverpool and play in the Premier League after breaking through at Ajax. After that I went to Hoffenheim purely to stay in contention for the Dutch national team . I then moved on to Kasimpasa in Turkey and then to Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates for the money.
”I have always followed my heart whether things have turned out good or bad . I believe that I can still be or worth to a team . I am open to everything and to all avenues and opportunities. The most important thing is to have fun and play football with a certain ambition.”
