Ryan Babel scored his first Premier League goal since joining Fulham but it could not prevent a 3-1 loss to West Ham United.

The Dutch international had already missed a great chance by the time he fired Fulham ahead from close range after only three minutes.

The goal was the first Babel had scored in the Premier League since the 12th of December 2010, 3000 days ago.

The goal was not a catalyst for a much-needed victory, though as Javier Hernandez, Issa Diop and Michail Antonio all netted to secure a 3-1 win for West Ham.

Fulham remain 19th in the Premier League and eight points from safety.
