RKC Waalwijk have confirmed the signing of Zakaria Bakkali from Anderlecht on a two-year deal.

The forward made a big impression when he broke into the PSV first team back in 2013, but after only 24 games for the Eindhoven side he departed for Valencia in 2015.

Bakkali made 57 appearances in La Liga, partly on loan with Deportivo, and he then joined Anderlecht in his native Belgium. This summer, the now 26-year-old’s contract expired and he has returned to the Netherlands with RKC.

General director Frank van Mosselveld said on the RKC club site.”Zakaria’s talent is undeniable and it is an important pillar within this club to get started with this. We as RKC Waalwijk are happy to offer him this opportunity and he is keen to show his qualities.”
