zivkovic bThe 17 year old striker has made a number of eye catching appearances for Groningen from the bench this season, scoring four goals.

On Sunday Zivkovic got the chance to start in the 3-3 draw against Roda JC, and although he didn’t score, a number of scouts were present keen to see him in action.

Groningen director Hans Nijland told Voetbal International that he saw the chief scout from Real Madrid, and Barcelona among a load of other scouts.

He said, “Since Ive been director here, I have not seen a scout from Barcelona or Real Madrid sat in the stands very often, that is strange.”

“It was the head scout, but there were more clubs present. Certainly twelve, or thirteen clubs were there. Who were they watching? I have no idea, but it is obvious that they have come to see Richairo.”

“They did not confirm this though. It could have also been a player of Roda JC. ”

Despite having a Serbian mother, Zivkovic has chosen to represent Netherlands at various youth levels, and is seen by many as one of the biggest talents in the country.
