According to Catalan newspaper ‘Sport’ Ajax and Barcelona are in talks about a partnership.

The two clubs have had a great relationship since Johan Cruijff moved to the Catalan giants and recently worked together over the deal that sees Frenkie de Jong move to Barcelona this summer.

According to Sport a partnership is being explored that would see Ajax receive players on loan from Barcelona regularly. The Spanish giants see Ajax as the perfect place for their young players or recent recruits from South America to learn their trade before breaking into their first-team.

Barcelona would want in return first refusal on any of the best young talents or players at Ajax.

Sport also adds that talks are ongoing over the transfer of Matthijs de Ligt. Juventus are still in the running for the centre-back but Barcelona are confident he wants to join his friend De Jong at the club and have an offer of €60 million plus bonuses ready to submit.
