Onana has been linked with a move back to Catalonia for months, with Chelsea, PSG and Tottenham Hotspur also interested. However, the Ajax stopper has openly said he would return to the Nou camp if possible.
According to Sport, Barcelona have put second choice goalkeeper Neto up for sale to make room for Onana. However, they cannot afford Ajax’s €40 million asking price.
The club will look to lower the price by offering Ajax some of their B team players on loan, such as Riqui Puig and Alex Callado. Whether Ajax would accept this remains to be seen.
