The Catalan giants were frequent visitors to Amsterdam last season as they looked to keep tabs on former target Davinson Sanchez, who was signed by Tottenham this summer for €40 million.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s scout Robert Fernandez and his right-hand man Urbano Ortega were very impressed with 18-year-old centre back Matthijs de Ligt. The report adds that the scout reports on the youngster are “incredible.”
The Dutch international is now regarded as a potential future recruit by Barcelona, who are also keeping watch on Justin Kluivert, Kasper Dolberg and Donny van de Beek.
