According to reports in Spain, Barcelona are interested in signing AZ Alkmaar left-back Owen Wijndal.

Barcelona are seeking a new left-back this summer to challenge Jordi Alba, and AS are reporting that Wijndal is the Catalan giants main target.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta is hoping to use his good relationship with agent Mino Raiola to strike a deal for the Netherlands international, who has also been linked with a move to Ajax.

Cash is tight in Barcelona and the club are hoping to bring in the 21-year-old for less than €15 million. They could raise funds by selling Junior Firpo, who is currently the main back-up to Alba.
