The report suggests that the Spanish giants are looking at a player in the mould of Henrik Larsson, another former Feyenoord player. The Swede played for the club for two seasons and helped Barcelona win the 2006 Champions League.
La Blaugrana are currently under a transfer Embargo but they are able to sign players in January. The report suggests they are considering Kuyt as well as Sergio Garcia, Soriano and Alvaro Negredo.
Kuyt made a return to his homeland this summer having been away to England and Turkey for nine years and has made a fantastic start in the league.
Whether the 35 year old would want to move away having just returned home remains to be seen.
