Barcelona have been linked with a move for Matthijs de Ligt but it appears a move for the Ajax defender is dependent on a number of players leaving the Nou Camp.

The 19-year-old has reportedly set his sights on joining Frenkie de Jong in Barcelona, but PSG and Juventus are also in the race.

In Más Que Pelotas, journalist Adrián Sánchez revealed that Barcelona would only make a move for De Ligt this summer if they can move a number of players on.

He said, “For De Ligt, Barça would only bet on him 100% if there are a few departures with an impact, Rakitic, Vermaelen, Cillessen. And if a good offer comes for Semedo.”

He also added that Barcelona are pessimistic because they believe that De Ligt already has an agreement with another club.

Ajax reportedly want around €75 million for De Ligt.
