On Friday, Diario Sport claimed that Cillessen was more than likely on his way to the Premier League with Everton, Manchester United and West Ham United all interested.
However, Mundo Deportivo reports that there rumours are wide of the mark and a source even describes Everton’s interest as “Nonsense.”
Mundo Deportivo believe that Cillessen’s future will be at either Valencia or AS Roma.
Barcelona initially wanted €60 million for their back-up goalkeeper but are now willing to accept half of that. Valencia would need to sell Neto before making an offer, while Roma wants Cillessen as a replacement for Robin Olsen, who had a difficult first season in the Italian capital.
Benfica have dropped out of the race due to the high price tag and are now focused on Real Madrid’s Keylor Navas.
Makes a lot more sense then West Ham or Everton. Valencia have UCL… Roma just missed out but he would be #1 right off.
Valenica have Neto who has done well is 29 but Roma want to sell Olsen & he would def start there.
So might be worth just having Europa & Roma are gettkn a good young manwr in from Donestk Fonseca & he plays good football.
