Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf are reporting that former Ajax and current Bayer Leverkusen manager Peter Bosz is interested in raiding his old club for versatile Dutchman Daley Sinkgraven.

Sinkgraven, 23, was an important player during Bosz’s time in the Dutch capital, and the Leverkusen manager has made no secret of his admiration for the left back who can also play midfield. Back in February Bosz said of the player: “I think he can reach the absolute world top as a left back. ”

Nonetheless, Sinkgraven’s playing time has been limited since he sustained a big knee injury while Bosz was coach. This season Ajax’s number 8 has only managed 11 appearances, 10 of which were from the bench and he neither scored nor assisted.

Long term doubts, indifferent form, and the fact that his contract expires in summer 2020 have all created an atmosphere that makes a switch likely.
