According to Marca, Martin Odegaard’s future could lie in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen instead of at Ajax.

The Norwegian is currently on loan with Vitesse Arnhem and is set to return to Real Madrid this summer. However, despite his excellent form this season, there still doesn’t appear to be a place for Odegaard in Madrid and another move is likely.
Ajax have been linked with the midfielder for weeks and according to Marca they have placed a €20 million bid with Real Madrid. However, this has been rejected as the Spanish giants have no interest in selling.
Bayer Leverkusen, coached by former Ajax boss Peter Bosz, have now entered the race and could pip the Amsterdammers to the 22-year-old.
Several Spanish clubs have also enquired but at the moment Marca believes the most likely destination is Germany and Leverkusen.
