According to De Telegraaf, Vitesse Arnhem are set to sign Wolfsburg midfielder Riechedly Bazoer.

Bazoer still has a deal with Wolfsburg until 2021 but he has no future at the Bundesliga club, who paid Ajax €12 million for the midfielder in 2016.

Last season, the 22-year-old was loaned to Porto and then Utrecht and has made it clear to his management that he wants to remain in the Eredivisie.

Vitesse are set to beat off competition from several clubs from around Europe to sign the midfielder after coming to an oral agreement on a three-year deal.

Bazoer will undergo his medical in Arnhem on Friday before completing the deal. It is unclear how much Vitesse will pay Wolfsburg for the Netherlands international.
