The 20-year-old has lost his place in the Ajax starting eleven since Peter Bosz took over in the summer, with Bazoer only appearing in nine games so far. Bosz doesn’t see the midfielder in his plans for the future and Bazoer is expected to leave the club in January with VI reporting that Ajax director Marc Overmars has already told him they will not stand in the way of a departure.
Speaking after Netherlands U21’s draw with Portugal on Tuesday, Bazoer said to NOS, “I want to play, of course. That makes sense.
“I train well, I train hard. I am waiting for my chance, but I feel it takes too long now. I’m young. I think I have potential, I did show it last season under Frank de Boer. It’s important for me to play a lot of games. ”
On a potential transfer, he added, “I have had a conversation several times with the trainer. The trainer has an opinion about me and I have an opinion about the trainer. It is not until after December 18th (the last day of the year). Then I know what I will do in the winter. ”
Bazoer is sure on his preferred destination if he does leave Ajax, “Everyone has a dream. A dream for me is to play football in Spain.”
