Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk is in the middle of an international tug of war between Belgium and the Netherlands.

De Telegraaf is reporting that Belgium boss Roberto Martinez has already had a telephone conversation with Struijk as he looks to seal the defender’s international future.

The 21-year-old was born in Belgium but grew up in the Netherlands, joining the academies of ADO Den Haag and Ajax at a young age. He has also represented the Netherlands at U17 level.

At the moment, Struijk does not appear to be in the plans of Oranje, but with Belgium showing interest now, the KNVB may make a move.

Struijk has made eleven appearances in the Premier League this season.
