The 35-year-old left Bayern Munich at the end of the season and is currently a free agent. He spoke to Voetbal International recently and told them he is currently considering four options.
Retirement is possible along with a move to either the MLS or Japan. Toronto FC have been linked.
Robben said he is also considering a move to a top European club or back home to the Eredivisie.
His former clubs Groningen and PSV Eindhoven are pushing to bring the winger back home but BILD believes that Ajax are also in the running.
The German newspaper has also revealed that Portuguese giants Benfica have shown interest in the former Dutch international.
Toronto FC supporter here, as much as I would love it and it would fill a massive short-term need for the club I think the likelihood of him landing at TFC is low. With no Designated Player spots free TFC would likely not be able to offer him a wage he would realistically consider, even with Targeted Allocation Money. If he does land in MLS, though, I hope it’s not in the Eastern Conference, he’d wreak havoc on TFC’s backline…
My FAVORITE AND LOOK-A-LIKE AND PLAY-A-LIKE ORANJE SHOULD JOIN AJAX WHERE HE CAN ENJOY GREAT FOOTBALL AND CHAMPIONS LEAGUE AND BE A WONDERFUL MODEL FOR THE YOUTH AT MY FAVORITE CLUB WHILE ENJOYING BEING BACK HOME.
