Benfica coach Jorge Jesus is reportedly a big fan of the combative midfielder, and sees him as a perfect recruit for his side as they look to win the Portuguese league title.
The Portuguese giants have recently looked to the Eredivisie for signings having aquired Filip Djuricic from Heerenveen, and Miralem Sulejmani from Ajax in the summer.
However the players agent told AD, “I have heard the stories, but talk of concrete interest is premature.
Feyenoord director Martin van Geel also dismissed the interest, “There are only rumors.”
Clasie has a contract at De Kuip until 2016, and is unlikely to leave the club this month, as a move may affect his chances of participating in next summers World Cup.
The 22-year-old made his debut for Feyenoord in 2010, and has since made 92 appearances for the club, scoring five goals.
