According to Record, Ajax have until May 15th to decide whether they want to use their option to sign Bruna Varela on a permanent deal.

The Portuguese stopper is on loan in Amsterdam until the end of the season but Ajax have the option to make the move permanent for €5 million.
According to Portuguese outlet Record, Benfica are waiting for a decision to be made and Ajax have a deadline of the 15th of May.
Varela has only made four appearances this season for Ajax and has not impressed the club’s fan base. It seems doubtful whether Ajax would splash out €5 million to sign the goalkeeper, but they may be tempted with Andre Onana set to depart this summer.
