Twente want to sell the 27-year-old defender, who is coming into the last year of his contract. as money worries continue to surround the club.
The former Hertha Berlin defender has been linked with clubs in Russia, but he has admitted he will not just leave Twente for any club, and wants the right move for his family.
This is what the Swedish international told TC Tubantia,
“I also think I’m too expensive for Twente. But if the club wants me off, they must bring down the transfer fee. I’m not leaving just because Twente wants that so badly. I will only go to a club that is good for me and my family. If not, I’ll stay for a year.”
The Tukkers have already lined up PEC Zwolle’s Daryl Lachman as a replacement should Bengtsson leave.
