Steven Bergwijn will not be able to build on his dream Tottenham Hotspur debut when they face Southampton in an FA Cup replay on Wednesday.

Bergwijn couldn’t have asked for a better debut on Sunday as he scored the opener in a 2-0 victory over Manchester City.

However, the Dutch international will not be able to face Southampton on Wednesday. Because he was not with Tottenham for the first tie, he is ineligible for the replay.

Tottenham are not back in Premier League action until the 16th of February.
