According to Sky Sports, Besiktas are hoping to sign Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen on an initial loan deal.

The midfielder swapped Ajax for Everton last summer but has failed to live up to expectations and only made seven appearances in the Premier League.

Klaassen said last month that he was hoping to fight for his place under new manager Marco Silva next season but if Everton deems the 25-year-old surplus to requirements then a move to Turkey could be on the cards.

Reports in Turkey earlier this week claimed that Besiktas were interested in signing Klaassen, and now Sky Sports are also reporting this. The Turkish giants want to sign Klaassen on loan for the season.

Sky Sports are also reporting that Everton wants to sign Norwich City midfielder James Maddison, who plays like Klaassen as an attacking midfielder.
