The Tottenham striker went up for a challenge with goalkeeper Simon Mignolet early in the game and was caught by the goalkeeper’s arm in the face. Janssen played on but was clearly struggling and came off on the 25th minute.
Speaking after the game, Danny Blind confirmed that Janssen had suffered a concussion and is a doubt for Netherlands tie with Luxembourg on Sunday.
He said, “Vincent Janssen is going to be a very difficult story.
“The physician told me it is a concussion. He lost 20 minutes of his memory, and doesn’t know what happened.
“We have to be careful with that and talk it through.”
