dy blindIn the final minute of Tuesday’s tie with the score locked at 1-1, Bas Dost thought he had headed in a winner but the goal was chalked off by Daniele Orsato for an alleged push in the box.

After the game, Blind spoke to NOS and slammed Orsato for his decision, “The referee was in the way.

“I thought he officiated very well, but this is an incredible mistake by him.

Before the incident Netherlands also missed several chances in a one side game, with Davy Klaassen off target with two sitters in the first half, while Dost could only fire over the bar with the goal gaping in the second.

Blind stated that 3-1 or 4-1 would have been a fairer reflection on the tie, “We really lost two points here.

“If we win 1-3 or 1-4 like that it is a normal outcome.

“Before the 1-0 we had all of the game. They have had hardly any chances.”

Netherlands continue their World Cup qualifying campaign against France and Belarus in October.
