Ajax and Netherlands left back Daley Blind understands why he is getting so much attention in the British media after the World Cup win over Spain.

The 24 year old provided the assist’s for two of Netherlands goals in the 5-1 victory over Spain, including Robin van Persie’s wonder header, and was named as the best Dutch player in the game by BBC.
Speaking at the Press conference the son of Assistant coach Danny Blind said, “The link is quickly established as Robin van Persie plays there [Manchester United] and Louis van Gaal also Manchester United leaving.”
Blind also added that he is expected to be fit for his country’s next match against Australia on 18th June,
“I have mild irritation to the knee, but I foresee no problems for Wednesday. I guess I can just play.”
The former Groningen player can reportedly leave Ajax for a fee exceeding €12 million.
