PSV Eindhoven will be without striker Maxi Romero for the rest of the season after he suffered a knee injury on Thursday.

After his winner against Emmen at the weekend, Roger Schmidt handed Romero his first ever start for PSV against NS Mura on Thursday.

However, after only nine minutes, Romero had to be substituted after going down injured.

The club has now announced that Romero has suffered a knee injury and will be out for the rest of the campaign. It is a big blow for the forward, who was aiming to make a big impact this season.
