Myron Boadu is disappointed with Arne Slot’s sacking but understands why the AZ Alkmaar board took the decision.

Slot was sacked by AZ Alkmaar on Saturday after it became clear that the coach was holding talks with Feyenoord about replacing Dick Advocaat next summer.
Speaking to De Volkskrant, Boadu said about Slot, “It’s a shame. It all went great at AZ, Arne is a fantastic person and a fantastic trainer, who really let us play football in the style of Manchester City or Barcelona in the good times.”
Boadu agrees with the decision but admits its a strange feeling, “I think the old trainer could have kept his focus on AZ, but I understand the board that this is not possible. Arne may have handled it a little wrong. But I am also very grateful to him. It is just strange.”
