English Championship side Bolton Wanderers have handed a trial to Dutch defender Nick Kuipers who plays for MVV Maastricht.

The 22-year-old joined MVV in 2010 from youth side RKVVL and has since played in more than 100 games for the Eerste Divisie club scoring two goals.
The defender is out of contract in the summer and can discuss terms with clubs out of Netherlands. If the deal goes ahead for the summer a compensation package would have to be agreed.
Fellow championship clubs Brighton & Hove Albion, Charlton Athletic, Derby County and Huddersfield Town were all interested in Kuipers but it seems that he will be at the Trotters for next 10 days or so.
