Luuk de Jong will not be leaving PSV Eindhoven for Bordeaux. The French side have pulled out of negotiations for the forward.

The Ligue 1 side had reached a personal agreement with De Jong and it was believed that a deal with PSV Eindhoven was close.

However, PSV have confirmed to Dutch media that Bordeaux have now withdrawn from negotiations, much to the surprise of the Eindhoven club. Now it appears that the striker will be remaining at the club with only two days remaining in the transfer window.

The 27-year-old has been second choice to Jurgen Locadia so far this season after falling out of favour with coach Phillip Cocu. A departure to Hannover 96 was rumoured earlier in the window, but that deal also fell through.
