The former Vitesse coach was confirmed as De Boer’s replacement on Tuesday evening after leaving Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Bosz told the official Ajax website, “This is a great moment for me as a coach.
“I’ve never made a secret of how I dearly wanted to work at the top of Dutch football. For that reason, I also had a provision in my contract with Maccabi, which allows me to take this step now.
“It’s honorable that Ajax approached me for this position,” continued the 52-year-old coach. “I am very ambitious and that’s Ajax. I knew already, but that was proved once again after the conversations we had.”
