A report in Bild at the weekend claimed that Bosz had two games to save his job and they lost the first of those on Tuesday with Tottenham coming from behind to beat Dortmund 2-1 in the Champions League. This weekend, Dortmund face bitter rivals Schalke in what is now a must-win game for the former Ajax boss.

Speaking at his post-game press conference, Bosz said, ”I do not view this weekend’s match against rivals FC Schalke 04 as my last chance to remain Borussia Dortmund manager.

”When you are manager of a big club like Borussia Dortmund you must win games. If you have not won games after a while then you start to feel the pressure. I am aware of that.

”The derby against FC Schalke 04 is very important.”
