Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed Peter Bosz as their new head coach on a contract until 2020.

The 54-year-old has been named as the successor to Heiko Herrlich, who has left the club along with his assistant Nico Schneck, despite Bayer winning their third match in four games on Saturday.

Bosz will start his new job on the 4th of January and will be tasked with turning around the club’s campaign and lifting them from their current position of 9th.

The former Vitesse Arnhem, Heracles Almelo and Ajax boss gets another crack at the Bundesliga after his short and disastrous spell with Dortmund ended early last season.
