Bayer Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz joked on Monday that Kai Havertz will join Heracles Almelo this summer.

Bayer Leverkusen were knocked out of the Europa League by Inter Milan on Monday evening. After the game, Bosz was asked if Havertz had played his last game for the club.

The talented midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea this summer, but Bosz would not answer the questions and instead made a nod to his former club Heracles Almelo.

Bosz joked to the German press, “I can hereby announce that he will play for Heracles Almelo next season.”

Heracles Almelo then took to Twitter to announce the signing of the 21-year-old German international.
